Dear Friends,
What a wonderful feeling it is to have Residents bustling around in both of our buildings at Keystone Woods! Phase I of The Gardens, our independent living residence, opened on October 28, 2005, and already boasts 65 Residents! Phase I of our assisted living residence, Grayson House, opened its doors on February 6, 2006, and new Residents continue to move in each week. We are anxious for Phase II of both buildings to be completed in the spring and summer of this year so that we can serve even more residents of the surrounding Springfield area!
It is beautiful to watch as new friendships develop amongst our Residents. So many folks who were isolated in their own homes are blossoming each day as new adventures and opportunities come their way. Trips out to the casinos, lunch at various restaurants, trips to local concerts, movies, and shopping, as well as internal programs such as tai chi, lectures, card games, dominoes, exercise, wine and cheese parties, and jewelry making, are keeping everyone engaged and active. We are also looking forward to offering college courses in conjunction with Western New England College and personal training in our own fitness room later this spring.
I am proud to be part of this very special project and to lead a team of such caring and loving individuals. It is our promise to the Residents of Keystone Woods and to their families to passionately strive to make friends feel at home in their new home, and we will do all that we can to make this happen every day.
