Yoga adapted especially for seniors given by professional
teacher Every Mon. afternoon, 1:30pm
2. Chair Exercise with Activity Director emphasizing deep
breathing, stretching, gentle strengthening, incorporating
Yoga, Tai Chi and balance techniques. Every Tuesday, 1:30pm.
3. Weight Training every Thursday, 1:30pm with professional
instructor who creates and follows residents individually.

Synagogue by request also on Saturdays.

3.Senior Fitness assessments by Sundance Rehab on 2/25 and
2/26, 1:30pm; individual assessments to aid individuals in
planning for physical needs given by P.T. dept.
4. "Motivation to Move" 2/26 presentation by Gentiva
Health.
5. PVTA transportation, an inservice by the director informing
our residents on how to use this service. 2/4/ 10:30am.

and then to be hung for viewing in appropriate setting.

4.Make Your Own Jewelry with Sandy Merrill, 2/23, 2pm, a favorite
activity with the ladies.
5. Scrapbooking; introductory class given by professional
teacher Nancy LaFlamme showing how photo memory albums can
be created with digital and non-digital pictures; 2/22 7pm,
with hopes of having on-going workshops in scrapbooking.

for Ghana", summer programs for the children followed
by her Ghanian Marketplace, tables of African Crafts and goods
for residents to peruse.

Special Valentine’s Dinner—Wednesday, February 3rd For this
special dinner we are asking that residents come down to be
seated from
4:45-5:00. The meal will be served at 5:00. We would like
to have everyone seated by 5:00pm. There will also be piano
music with Joy Weiler from 5:00-6:30pm.
Letters to the Troops—Thursday, February 4th
On Feb. 4th at 2:00 we will be taking some time to sit down
and write letters to the Troops who are
stationed in Afghanistan, Iraq and Germany. Pens & paper
will be provided, however feel free to bring your own if you
have something you prefer to use. If you would rather write
a letter or note at your own convenience you may do that and
turn your letter into the activity department to be mailed
at
any time.
Super Bowl 2010—Sunday, February 7th
The 2010 Super Bowl game will be on CBS starting around 6:30pm.
If residents would like to watch the game together they can
gather in the activity room where snacks and pop will be provided
by Keystone for the game!
Don’t forget to wear your black Keystone Vests on the Tuesday,
the 9th!
Ash Wednesday Service—Wednesday, February 17th There will
be an Ash Wednesday service at the Keystone Cedars chapel
on Feb. 17th. Keystone Place residents are welcome to attend
the service. If residents would like a ride over to Cedars
they can sign up in the outing book. The Place bus will be
leaving at 9:10 to take residents to the 9:30 service. Residents
are welcome to go over to Cedars on their own in they like.
Census!
The 2010 Census is coming up soon! Everyone will be getting
Census info in the mail sometime in March. This years Census
will be one of the shortest in history! With only 10 questions
it should take only 10 minutes to fill out! Filling out the
Census helps determine the distribution of government funding
to our community, it generates thousands of jobs across the
country and impacts your voice in Congress! Please make sure
you take 10 minutes to fill it out when you get it!
Learn to Play Cribbage!
Ernest & Doris McMillan have been kind enough to continue
teaching various card games to the
residents of Keystone every Thursday at 10:00 in the activity
room. For the month of February they will be teaching Cribbage!
If you don’t know how to play, please stop in and they will
be happy to teach you! Also if you have suggestions for other
games to learn please let Ernest or Doris know about them.
Valentine’s Vote
Cast your vote for the Valentine’s Day King and Queen for
2010! Voting Ballots will be in the
restaurant for residents and staff to vote for the residents
of their choice. The King & Queen will be crowned on Friday,
February 12th at the 3:30 Valentine’s Social Hour. Be sure
to cast your vote before then!
