HAPPY NEW YEAR!
January is wellness month here at Keystone Meadows. We have plenty of opportunities to start exercising. Come to the activity lounge at 10:00 for Light n' Lively. Also, every Wednesday at 3:15 we will be hosting the walk-a-thon. Let's get fit in 2007.
Keystone Meadows will play host to several musical entertainers this month including: piano extraordinaire Dorothy Baldwin on the10th Larry Mazzotti on January 17, the Golden Aires on January 23, and Milt Scott on January 24. It is always a pleasure to hear the musical talents of all of our guests.
The Red Hat Society will be meeting on January 19 in the parlor. As usual, the Keystone Hatters will be socializing together throughout the afternoon.
For men only! On January 30, Men's Breakfast Club will be meeting at 8:30 to depart for breakfast at Perkin's Restaurant.
Keystone Gardens
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
January is wellness month at Keystone Gardens. Remember the Fitness Center is open everyday for you to exercise. Now is the time to get fit in 2007. You can enjoy exercising on the cardio glide, recumbent bike or the treadmills. The fitness center even has weight training equipment for you to get in shape. If you want a personal guide to help you set up a program that best fits your abilities, please contact Jami to schedule an appointment.
Donna has scheduled several trips that will be refreshing for all who want to participate: January 11 - Shopping trip to the Hickory Point Mall here in Decatur, December 15th - Van cruise including special stop for our favorite Hot Chocolate - Mmm..., December 18 - Shopping trip to the "Tuscola Barn" in Tuscola, IL, and December 22 - Dinner at Yoder's Amish Kitchen in Arthur, IL.
January is just the beginning of a wonderful adventure. At Keystone Gardens we are planning to have a great year in 2007! Please come and join us for a terrific journey. Call or stop by now to visit and enjoy all of the friendly staff members and Residents.

There are several trips and outings this month: a trip to Coralville Mall on the January 3, a day trip to the Amana Colonies and lunch on the January 15, an outing to the movie theatre on the January 16 (residents will choose the movie that the groups sees that day), a casino trip to Tama on the January 17, an outing to the Czech museum on the January 19, a day trip to the Dubuque Mississippi River Museum on the January 24, and an outing to the Potter's Obsession to make and paint pottery.
There is also a lot of music, games, shopping outings, and exercise classes this month!
Keystone Cedars
Activities for the month include a 5 a.m. fire drill followed by a pancake breakfast and pajama day on the January 5, karaoke with Tom and Willie on the January 9, Thunder the Mini pony visits on the January 11, and a group of 10 accordion players on the January 22.
The Summit School children will be here on January 12, 19 and 26 for singing and games with the residents.
A casino trip to Tama is planned on the January 17, and a day trip to Stone City to tour a historic home and have lunch at the Wild Thyme tea room.
Dr. Dennis Schuller will be here on the January 30 to give free oral cancer screenings and talking about dentures, partials and implants.
There will also be lots of music, games, cocktail parties, and shopping outings.

January 1 - Ring in the New Year with special entertainment at 2:00 p.m. with Ken on the piano.
January 3 - Our friend Norma Hopper will be by for a good ol' fashioned sing-a-long at 2:00 p.m.
January 4 - Laurie Festa, back by popular demand, will entertain at the Meet & Greet, Wine & Cheese Party 2:00 p.m. The local paper will be here doing a story on Laurie, with many photo opportunities for those in attendance!
January 8 - Shopping trip 2:00 p.m.
January 9 - We look forward to a switch-a-roo. Activitiy Director Reenie will be by, for some musical memories at 10:30 a.m. Pat will be providing a craft program at the Gardens.
