Keystone Cedars
This month we will be learning to play the Nintendo Wii video
game on the March 5th. We will also be going to see the Cedar
Rapids Follies on the March 6th at the Paramount Theatre.
We will be taking trips to the African American Museum on
the March 7th, and Riverside Casino on the 26th. On March
22nd we will be having an Easter Egg hunt for the residents
grandchildren, the hunt starts at 10:00. On March 17th we
will be having a St. Patrick’s day party with music by Ron
Uhlenhopp. Throughout the month we will be having lots of
shopping outings as well as bus rides.
Keystone Place at Blairs Ferry
This month we will be learning to play the Nintendo Wii video

on the 26th and Waterloo Casino on the 12th. We will also
be going to see the Cedar Rapids Follies on the March 6th
at the Paramount Theatre. On March 17th we will be having
a St. Patrick’s day party with music by Ron Uhlenhopp. We
will also be having a pot luck on the March 19th at 12:00.
The Gardens at Keystone Woods
Special activities for the month of March include "The
Irish music Guy", Kevin Farley provides Irish show with
many Irish tunes & instruments on March 7th; Dave Colucci
entertaining for Happy Hour March 28th, inspirational singing
with Keir & Matt March 19; a Patrick's Special Dinner
with light entertainment on March 17th; a Easter Dinner special
on March 23; a H & R Block presentation of a new "Stimulus
Package" on March 11; UMASS Nursing Students make Health
presentations on March 27; Cooking class to learn how to make
Spun Sugar Easter Eggs with Marge March 14; Trivial Pursuit
contest with East Longmeadow team on March 18th; ROGER HART
photojournalist slide presentation on March 10; Relaxation
to Music, learning how to deeply relax to different musical
sounds, textures given by two music therapists, on March 14;
and a Good Friday liturgy on March 21st. Trips include: grocery
shopping every Monday morning; transportation to church/synagogue
on Sundays and Saturdays; van to Macy's & Mall on March
16; Spring flower shows at Smith/Mt. Holyoke Botanic gardens
with lunch out on March 5th; Reading Aloud program at local
elementary school on March 12th; Maple Sugar time trip to
South Hadley Sugar Shack for pancakes and tour facility that
makes syrup; "Capital Steps" play at the Majestic
Theatre on March 26th; Garden Belles Women's Club trip the
colonial Whately Inn for dinner on March 5th.
Other activities include "Yoga Health" and "Yoga
Relax" yoga classes, weight training every Friday at
12:30pm, the Walking Club every Tuesday at 9am (Walking on
campus and when weather improves, scenic walks in natural
locales), and Chair Exercises with Renee; a class on decorating
sweat shirts/t-shirts with silk flowers, glitter paint &
sequins with Craft artist Deb Morrissey on March 29th; a class
on Decorative Tole painting with Vy two Saturdays during the
month; Jewelry making with Sandy on with individual instruction
for projects such as earring, bracelet & necklace making
including all supplies on March 23th; opportunities to meet
with the Book of the Month Club (currently reading a collection
of American Short Stories), Men's Club, Garden Belles Women's
Club, History Club (meets weekly, currently exploring Colonial
American History and the American Revolution. Planning a visit
to historic sites of Boston in the spring.); movie showings
nightly; Bingo, Trivial Pursuit, Dominoes, and cards during
the week; Religious services during the month, including a
mass celebrated by priest from local parish, an Ecumenical
Liturgy with communion once a month celebrated by one of our
residents who is an Episcopal Priest, Rosary every Wednesday
morning, and a meeting with a Pastor from local Protestant
Church for Bible study, sermon and inspiration once a month.
