A new activity that has been a big success and very well received is the hospitality/shopping cart. Every Thursday we have a hospitality/shopping cart run by a Resident. The cart is in the lobby from 1-2 p.m. and has all the necessary items on it such as postage stamps, greeting cards, deodorant, tissues, toilet paper, candy bars, and word search books. The Residents had a fundraiser to purchase the cart and all the items, so it is self sufficient.
Also new is the Independent Craft Closet. Crafts are left for Residents to do in their spare time or in a social setting with peers led by a Resident Leader.
