Keystone Meadows

September 10 - Happy Grandparents Day!

Keystone Meadows will be celebrating National Assisted Living Week beginning with Grandparents Day on September 10. We have many special events planned for the week including: Antique Car Show featuring the "Old Kidz Country Dancers" on Tuesday, Elvis will be entertaining us on Wednesday evening, and on Friday we will have Cocktail Hour beginning at 3:30 followed by a special Formal Candlelight Dinner.

September 16 from 5:00-7:00 We will conclude National Assisted Living Week with our BBQ in the parking lot. Main Attraction will be entertaining while Big Al will be grilling. Residents, Families, and the public are invited to join us for the party. Please RSVP to 877-5327 if you would like to eat with us.

Keystone Gardens

September 1 - Country breakfast out at Bob Evans Restaurant.

September 10 - Happy Grandparents Day!

September 14 - Join us on the tour to Mackinaw Valley Vineyards. This will be a trip you won't forget. We will see the vineyard as well as dine in Mackinaw.

September 21 - Special music by a fantastic singer, Mariah Henderson, who will be performing in the Lobby at 6:00.

September 25 - This will be a great day to go to Bloomington for your shopping convenience and dining out at the Le Chateau. Enjoy a touch of the finer side of dining.

Keystone Place at Blairs Ferry

Free Senior Street Dance hosted by Keystone Cedars and Keystone Place on Sunday, September 17. The street dance will be held at Keystone Place, 6126 Rockwell Dr. NE. Back by popular demand is the Ken Paulsen Band! Put on your dancing shoes and bring your lawn chair! Tours of Keystone Place will be given from 2-4 with live music from 4-dusk. Join us for a community celebration and enjoy good food, live music and fun! Please call 393-9500 if you have questions. Hope to see you there!

Keystone Cedars

Our theme this month is apples, so we will be decorating in apples, creating apple handicrafts, and eating apple treats throughout the month.

Activities in the beginning of the month include a visit on September 7 by the fire department complete with demonstrations and a lesson on fire safety. We will tour Donelly Mansion followed by snacks and games at the mansion on the September 8.

Mid-month on September 13 we will visit the animals at the Humane Society. On September 20 we will visit Holland Apple Orchard, and on September 22 we will tour Camp Courageous. Also Dr. Kevin Duff from the University of Iowa will discuss "Mild Memory Problems in Older Adults".

Activities toward the end of the month include a gambling trip to the NEW Riverside Casino north of Iowa City on September 27, a group meeting on the September 28 to discuss current events, and a visit from Summit school on the September 29. Summit school visitors will begin coming almost every Friday throughout the school year to participate in activities with the residents.

Grayson House at Keystone Woods

A lot of exciting events are planned for the month of September at Grayson House in Springfield, MA! Along with National Assisited Living Week, many NEW events are planned!

September 1 - Paul Recker entertains for the Meet & Greet Wine & Cheese Party 2-4 p.m. This is a great outlet for new Residents to meet new friends and mingle with Residents of the Facility.

September 2 - Tony Rarus, professional guitar player, will begin the Holiday weekend with entertainment at 1:30 p.m.

September 4 - Labor Day Picnic, 12-1:30 p.m. Open to all Residents/Guests

September 9 - "FAMILY FUN DAY" 1-4 p.m. The Western Mass Model A Restorers Club will exhibit and offer rides to those in attendance, with their beautiful Antique Cars. Also on hand this day will be Fritz the Clown who does awesome balloon sculptures, Herrell's Magic Double Decker Bus with home made ice cream and "The Back Door Band" providing Live Country Music! A great way for families to get together and have fun!

September 12 - Doc entertains and make your own Sundae Party 2:00 p.m.

September 13 - BRAND NEW! YOGA classes begin each Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Also lunch trip to Lindas, Volunteer, in Wilbraham, MA.

September 14 - Champaigne Celebration 6:30-8:00 p.m. Live Music, with the "Music Masters", gourmet hors’deuvres, an elegant evening!

September 15 - Meet & Greet Wine & Cheese Party with Jim Harris, 2-4 p.m. (Banjo)

September 16 - Car Wash, Resident Fundraiser, 1-4 p.m.

September 18 - Ice Cream Trip to West View Creamery. Come enjoy the petting Zoo!

September 20 - Lunch Trip to the Two Eagles Restaurant, Springfield, MA.

September 22 - Meet & Greet Wine & Cheese Party, Dale on the Keyboards 2-4 p.m.

September 27 - Community Service Event, Blood Drive, 10-3 p.m.

September 29 - Meet & Greet Wine & Cheese Party, Ken on the Piano 2-4 p.m.

Along with weekly movies in the T.V. Room, Exercise groups, Balloon Volley Ball, Bowling, Bingo, Cardo, Pokeno, Walking Club, Arts & Crafts programs, Card of the month club, Baking Club, Manicures, Wellness, The popular Shopping Cart, Church programs, Communion services, Memory Lane, Meal Prep...there's a little bit something for everyone!
