at Keystone Commons
Fitness:
Throughout the month, Hubbard Place is offering the following
activities: Chair Yoga weekly with an instructor; Weight Training
and Fitness weekly with a certified instructor from The Boys
and Girls Club; weight room available 24hrs/day for workouts;
Chair Exercise with stretching, balance and deep breathing
twice a week; Walking Club twice a week with occasional trips
to nature pathways; and Swimming and Water Aerobics at The
Boys and Girls Club once a week.
Services:
Foot Care Clinic services once-a-month by the Ludlow Dept
of Public Health Nurse; Hearing Clinic once a month by Avada
Hearing Care; weekly Blood Pressure Clinic with the Director
of Wellness; grocery shopping and errands provided once-a-week;
and transportation to medical appointments two days out of
the week.
Clubs & Social Events:
Book Club meets once a month to discuss the current read;
Women's Club meeting once a month; Men's Club meeting once
a month; Resident Council meets once a month; Travel Club
views videos on various places regularly; Documentary showings
regularly; Saturday Night at the Movies (with fresh popcorn!)
every Saturday evening—new releases and classics; Coffee Clatch
and Afternoon Tea twice a month; Happy Hour in the Pub once
a month; Knitting & Crochet groups twice a month; Garden
Club meets twice a month; “Paint Like the Masters” class offered
once a month by a professional art therapist and educator;
Jewelry classes by a local instructor once a month; and Almost
Martha meets twice a month for various baking and sewing activities.
Games:
Pitch and Bridge Club meets twice a month; Michigan Rummy,
Pitch, Canasta, Cribbage, Dominoes, Rummikub, Trivial Pursuit,
Yahtzee, Musical Bingo, Pinochle, Kings in the Corner, Bunco,
Backgammon, and Uno offered at various times throughout the
month; Billiards available anytime; Bingo once a week; and
game show DVD games like “The Price is Right” and “Family
Feud” regularly.
Religious Activities:
Weekly transportation to 3 local churches every Sunday; Communion
once a week with Deacon Bob from St. Mary’s once a week; in-house
Mass once a month with Fr. John from St. Mary’s; and Rosary
weekly.
