Keystone Cedars
A day trip is planned to Gladbrook, Iowa to see "Matchstick Marvel", a museum of things made out of matchsticks. There will be lots of Christmas music by the Isaac Newton Christian School, Easy Listening Guitar, David Poggenclass, Ron Uhlenhopp, Mike Patterson, Jefferson High School Choir, Young at Harp and more! We will also be going to Coral Ridge Mall for shopping and lunch on December 12, as well as a trip to Riverside Casino on December 19. The resident Christmas party will be at the noon meal on December 21 with a visit from Santa and his elves and music with Judy Mehlert. On December 18 we will be taking a bus trip to see Christmas lights in town. There will also be a holiday cocktail party and New Year’s Eve party!
Keystone Place at Blairs Ferry

There will also be a holiday cocktail party and New Year’s Eve party! The resident Christmas party will be on December 19 at the evening meal, with music by R.J. Blue and a visit from Santa and his elves. Christmas festivities will include Christmas music from local schools and bands, fun holiday crafts and cook classes.
The Gardens at Keystone Woods
Holiday specials for the month include the Western New England Chorus holiday favorites on December 6 at 6:30 p.m., a Xmas Potluck Christmas party at Marge's apartment with homemade food, eggnog and beautiful seasonal decor, the "Festival of Trees" trip on December 19 to view the decorated trees in downtown Springfield, MA and two trips to "Brite Nights", the nation's premier holiday light shows after dark, of course.
There will be lots of seasonal music this month. On December 21 the Ritchie Mitnik orchestra will play a holiday dinner special (seasonal favorites in swing style). Paul Kulas, saxophonist and singer, will present a holiday special on December 19 at 7 p.m. followed by Secret Santa gift exchange, and there will be a Candlelight Christmas with tenor Keir White that includes classical Christmas songs followed by punch and cookies. New Year's Eve dinner special will include beef tenderloin and champagne followed by the "Eddy C" dance band to welcome in 2008!

Special trips scheduled include the Bethany Assembly Church to see the 75-member chorus singing Christmas Tree. Thousands attend every year! (2 trips) Three holiday shopping trips to finish up your last minute gift giving lists! A trip to see one of America's top 100 places to visit: Bright Nights in Forest Park. A spectacular display of lights representing all faiths and the spirit of the holiday. (6 trips)
Our annual holiday bazaar will take place on December 7 and December 8 with hundreds of handcrafted items, baked goods, homemade chocolates and a large raffle to benefit the Resident Activity Fund.
Special entertainments include youth caroling groups, Albert on the piano, The Melody Boys, The East Longmeadow Senior Chorus, Richard on the Viola, Jim on the guitar Christmas Day and Tom on the accordion for our New Years Eve Party! Don't forget pictures with Santa, holiday cookie baking and many other special events filling our December with fun and memories!
Of note: To date, we have sent over 100 hand-stamped cards to "Cards for the Troops" and a total of 10 hand-sewn quilts, for the Springfield Infant Toddler Program, both ongoing Community Service Projects.

Keystone Commons has two model apartments open for viewing, a one bedroom for Assisted Living and a one bedroom for Independent Living. We are already 100% reserved in our Independent Living apartments, with a waiting list and our Assisted Living is almost half reserved.
