2. Ecumenical Service with Communion given by our own resident, Rev. Charles Summers, 1x/mo
3. Bible study and community up-dates with Pastor Greg Dyson, minister from the Church of the Acres,Spfld. MA, 1x/mo
4. Rosary, 1x/week, run by residents.
5. Van to synagogue and church services every weekend.
FITNESS:
1. Chair yoga with professional instructor Lyn Hopkins every Monday, 1pm. Adapted for seniors, incoudes modified postures, breathing and meditation.
2. Weight Training, Thursday afternoons with certified YMCA instructor. Teacher evaluates and provides indivdual fitness plans. Weight room available 24/7.
3.Chair exercise weekly given by LE Director Reenie Harwell, an expert in senior fitness.
4. Arhritis Amelioration with Sundance Rehab twice a week, runs for 6 weeks, a program to improve mobility and joint use.
COGNITIVE:
1. US History weekely with LE Director Reenie harwell. Current topic is western expansion and the Indian wars.
2. Scrabble weekly and cards and games nightly. Bingo three nights per week. Mah Jongg, Pitch, Dominoes weekely.
3. Music Appreciation: Classical and popular, each 2x/mo.
4. World Affairs Council of Springfiled MA, 1x/mo. Speaker from ambassadorial service and lunch, out trip. Next topic, status and conditions of recent immigrants from Iraq.
5. Current Events 2x/mo. local, national, international.
6. Trivial Pursuit 2x/mo.
CRAFTS:
1. Make Your Own Jewelry with teacher SanMerrill. Residents pay for their own supplies only. A favorite with the gals.
2 Make a St. Pat’s bracelet with Activity Assistant Marilyn Boisvert,2/23 1:30pm.
3. Adult Coloring, 2/5 2pm. Gorgeous pitcures, colored pencils or crayons.
HEALTH:
1. “Go Red Day’, 2/3, 1:30, program inviting women to learn about heart issues and enjoy heart-healthy treat and raffles.
2. Line Dancing for beginners, 2/10, joining LE Director and a resident who is expert.
3. Senior Fitness Test with Sundance Rehab, 2/8 2:30pm. A chance to review one’s general fitness and to plan accordingly.
4. Therapeutic Massage with Ginne Levine, 2/10, chair or table.
5. Relaxation to Music to Music Therapist John Thorp who uses Tibetan & crystal bowls and assorted instrum to create a sound environment conducive to relaxation.
CLUBS:
1. The Garden Belles Women’s Club meets monthly to plan social and fundraising events. This club gives many gifts to the community and votes as to how monies are to be distributed. They have planned a Valentine’s party this month on 2/12, 2pm.
2. The Men’s club has the same mandate as the women’s, and has a monthly meeting and trip and lunch out. This month’s trip will be to the famous Springfield Armory Museum and lunch at a popular Italian restaurant, the Red Rose, 2/24.

3. The Activity Planning Ctte joins LE Director to discuss ideas and plans events.
