SERVICES:
1. Van transport to: grocery shopping two different stores every Monday a.m.; to all medical/dental appointments on Tues/Thurs or Mon p.m.; to church, synagogue every weekend; to all recreational trips and programs.
2. Footcare and hearing services on campus once per month.
3. Weight Training gym open 24/7.
4. Full service Beauty salon on campus, manicures also.
5. Free recreational opportunities.

FITNESS:
1. Chair yoga once a week with professional teacher, Lyn Hopkins, an expert in yoga and senior ffitness.
2. Chair Exercise with LE Director Reenie Harwell or Alternate teacher twice a week.
3. Walking Club meets once a week weather permitting to walk our beautiful campus.
4. Weight room training with YMCA staff once a week, provides individual plans and supervision.
HEALTH:
1. Monthly topics given by Genesis rehab on various pertinent senior needs.
2. Dental and Oral health, a four week program given by 5 Dental Hygiene students from STCC (Spfld. community college) started April 3rd; education, free oral exam, samples, etc.
3. Hair care and beauty given by Pattie Morin once a month. Pattie is a stylist and aesthetician. Her approach includes info., re; senior hair, products, nutrition, exercise, with tips for climate changes, etc.
4. Relaxation to Music with Music Therapist John Thorp; sound vibrations created with different instruments, Tibetan Bowls, flute,etc. to induce relaxation and healing, once a month.
5. Massage with Ginnie Levine, certified/registered massage therapist, table or chair, by appointment, once a month.
RELIGION:
1. Mass, Ecumenical Service & Bible study, each once a month with different pastors/priest.
2. Rosary once a week.
3. Transport to religious services on weekends.
CLUBS:
1. The Garden Belles women’s club meets monthly to plan social events/outings and fundraising. Monies gained from fundraising are given in December to various charities.
2. The Men’s Club is a social group that also goes on trips, etc. The trip for this month will be to the Chicago Sports Bar and Grille, Enfield Ct., and residents from both of our buildings will be accompanied by our own male staff members for a true male-bonding experience.
3. La Table Francaise is a French cultural club that meets monthly. A French meal is prepared and conversation, singing and other relevant activites are shared. Fluency is not required, just an ability to listen and speak rudimentary language.
4. Poetry Club meets once a month with poet/guest Laura Chagnon. Original works are shared along with chosen pieces from the poetry world at large.
5. Knit Club meets monthly and informally.
LIGHT RECREATION:
1. Bingo 3 evenings /wk., cards nightly; Big screen T.V. available 24/7.
2. Mah Jongg/ Pitch on weekends; Scrabble/dominoes weekly.
3. Happy Hour, once a month.
4. Movie and socials on weekends.
5. Men’s Coffee Hour, 4/5 8:30 – 10am.
COGNITIVE:
1. US History twice a month with LE Director Reenie Harwell
2. Puzzles/board games weekly.
3. M-Power computer programs for cognitive maintenance.
4. Reading Library open 24/7.
TRIPS:
1. Walmart/ Macy’s once a month each.
2. Men’s lunch to the Chicago Grille, 4/17 11 am
3. Scenic drive through blossoming orchards & lunch, 4/26.
ENTERTAINMENT:
1. Dave Colucci, crooner, 4/6, a favorite singer at the Gardens.
2. Tony Rarus singer/guitarist 4/29 2pm.
SPECIALS:
1. Redstone “prize” bingo 4/9 1:30pm.
2. “Exploring the Emerald Isle” with photojournalists Gail and Doug Wheeler, 4/16 7pm.
3. Taking care of African Violets
4. “As Time Goes By” a show given by the Keystone Koraleers on 4/26 7pm.
5. Spring Tea Party, an annual event sponsored by the Garden Belles Club, open to the whole community.
OTHER:

2. Make Your Own Jewelry with teacher Sandy Merrill, 4/23, 2 -4pm.
3. Manicures with LE Director reenie Harwell once a month.
4. Resident Council with Ex. Director and staff once a month.
5. Food Committee with Dining Service Director Joel Illouz, once per month.
6. The Keystone Koraleers rehearses bi-weekly with LE Director Reenie Harwell.
This singing group is preparing for their show “As Time Goes By” , a collection of love songs and Broadway tunes. The show is accompanied by artist/accompanist Richie Mitnick. To be held on 4/24. The Koraleers hope to give their show at other facilities in the area.
7. Read Aloud, to the Mary Lynch Elementary School, first Wed. of every month. We have been sending a team to the school every month for the last seven years.
