Char Cordova – Culinary Director
My passion for cooking was first ignited when I was only 8 years old and made my first box of Kraft Mac & Cheese without any supervision. I still remember how good it tasted. I was so proud!
My grandmother was an amazing cook! I grew up super close to her and spent my summers as a teenager assisting her at the restaurant she was the head chef at for 30 years.
Being a lover of both art and food and with my grandmother's influence, I decided to pursue an education which encompassed both. Culinary School was an amazing adventure. I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu with my Culinary Arts degree.
Initially cooking in hotels and resorts, I decided to follow my dreams and opened a restaurant in Montrose, Colorado serving upscale breakfast and lunch. Many years later and missing the big city, I moved back to Denver.
Searching for a purpose in my career and longing to use my skills while also giving back, Senior Living seemed like the perfect fit. Since 2013, I have been using my creativity to nourish Seniors and have never looked back. I have enjoyed all the time I have spent with residents and have come to deeply understand how much delicious quality food adds to our overall well-being.
I’ve graduated from my Mac & Cheese days. My specialty is Italian food and I am famous for my lasagna! Looking forward to delighting you with my creations as your Culinary Director.
